Yeast Infection Symptoms In Women Are Very Common

Article by Boris Chistyakov

Yeast infections usually affect adult females; hence it is important to get rid of it. A dark and moist place like the female reproductive organ is the perfect host to a fungus like yeast. Under normal conditions, women already have yeast in the female reproductive organ’s area. It has been proved that 3 out of every 4 women will get a yeast infection at least once in their lifetime.

Yeast infections happen once the yeast starts to multiply without any control. It takes place due to weakening of the women’s immune system. This may be while battling any illness or while treating any disease by using antibiotics.

There are a number of common yeast infection symptoms in women. But these symptoms at times may be quite similar to a number of other medical conditions. These medical conditions include some sexually transmitted diseases also. It is best to consult a doctor in case you think that you have a yeast infection. This will rule out any other serious disease. The most common yeast infection symptoms in women are:

* Itching

* Soreness of any form

* A burning feeling while urinating

* Thick and white female reproductive organ’s discharge

* Bad odour in the female reproductive organ’s region

* Pain in the female reproductive organ’s area

* Pain in the abdomen

There are certain women who may experience these symptoms many times in a year. The susceptibility to female reproductive organ’s yeast infection is higher in the case of these women. Yeast infections tend to occur 4 to 5 times each year in the case of 5% women.

Certain women may experience slight symptoms while a few women may experience no symptoms at all. The male partner may still get the yeast infection passed on to him. Symptoms in the case of males tend to be a bit different. The symptoms are detailed below:

* Chapped and dry skin in the genital area

* Constipation and gas

* Rashes

* Soreness at the head of the male reproductive organ

* White and thick discharge

* Appearance of blisters

Again, these symptoms are all close to symptoms you may experience with other conditions involving the genitals. As early as possible it is crucial to know how to treat the yeast infection symptoms. Treat your yeast infection symptoms quickly in the right away.

Female reproductive organ’s infection can be prevented if proper care is taken. The most important part is hygiene. You need to keep the female reproductive organ’s area clean and dry. Always wear cotton undergarments. Synthetic innerwear should be avoided. Immediately change your swimsuit when it gets wet. Avoid feminine sprays, scented toilet paper and deodorant tampons.

A pelvic examination may be done to confirm the yeast infection symptoms in women. Any inflammation of the vulva will become evident this way.

The risk of yeast affection may be alleviated due to many reasons. Stress or lack of sleep may also be a factor. Another reason may be due to illness or during pregnancy. Poor eating habits like eating too much of sugary food also promotes yeast infection. People who are taking in steroids or birth control pills are also more prone to yeast infection.

Curing Candida – The Natural and Holistic Way

Article by Michael Barrows

Curing Candida is actually quite straightforward – the problem is finding a permanent cure. In addition, what people fail to realise is that Candida is a yeast that occurs naturally in the body, that performs a useful function in helping some of the body’s processes to work properly. The problem occurs when something causes the yeast to start growing out of control, creating lots of potential health difficulties. There are many strategies that you can use to cure Candida overgrowth. These include anti bacterial food, immune support and physical activities that will rid your body of Candida. The way to completely rid yourself of the problem is to adopt a holistic approach by using a combination of these strategies. Let’s look at a few of the more natural cures:1. Fiber: fiber is great for clearing toxic debris, including fungi, from the stomach and intestines. Use fiber such as Konjac fibre and Psyllium husks in your diet.2. Antifungals: these will kill or inhibit the growth of Candida. Good examples are garlic, Oregon grape, Olive leaf extract and Goldenseal. They are also great for fighting bacteria and viruses.3. Immune boosters: one of the most common reasons for Candida overgrowth is when the immune system is affected by ill-health, tiredness, etc. Some great immune boosters include Echinacea, Aloe Vera juice, Colostrom and green foods. They will help to improve your immune system and also fight Candida directly. 4. Healing Oils: Oils contain essential fatty acids that will assist to dissolve Candida. Some great healing oils are fish oils, coconut oil, olive oil and oregano oil.5. Herbs: these operate in the same way as the anti-fungals in fighting Candida directly. Use cloves and Pau d’arco regularly to help fight Candida. 6. Ocean vegetables: these help to naturally supplement any deficiencies of minerals and vitamin we may have in our bodies, creating a natural balance that inhibits overgrowth of Candida. Good ocean vegetables include Kelp, Nori, Wakame, Dulse and Kombi. 7. Probiotoics: these are healthy bacteria that inhabit the stomach and gastrointestinal tract where they will restrict yeast overgrowth. Well-known probiotics include Bifidus and Lactobacillus Acidophilus. These can be found in and range of popular diet supplements and yoghurts.8. Oxygen: Candida cannot thrive in an oxygen-rich environment. So how do you give your body more oxygen? It’s simple really, take lots more exercise! Coenzyme Q10 is a dietary supplement that is also thought to work in a way which encourages more oxygen to enter the body.9. Vitamins: some vitamins work like antifungals and support the body’s fight against Candida. Vitamins A, B and C are particularly useful in this regard.The most importnat thing before you start any of these treatments is to ensure that you get proper medical advice and a firm diagnosis. In addition, an extremely important aspect of an anti-Candida regime is moderation – don’t immediately try to implement all of these cures at the same time. Remember that the result of killing Candida is that your body will contain the resulting toxins, so its important to ensure that your body is not suddenly overloaded by too many toxins and is unable to cope, leading to even more problems. It is a weakened immune system which may have caused the problem in the first place, so don’t make it worse. Impliment these cures slowly and surely over a period – and keep switching them so that the yeast doesn’t start becoming resistant to one particular cure. Adopting a careful, long-term, holistic strategy for curing Candida overgrowth is the answer to curing the problem permanently.

Q&A: Yeast Infection symptoms with slight abdominal cramps: Any help?

Question by Bride2Be: Yeast Infection symptoms with slight abdominal cramps: Any help?
Never had a yeast infection but I think I might have one now but besides the original symptoms that have been happening for a week I have developed a slight abdominal cramp on my right side. It is not constant but noticeable. Are these symptoms related? Is this a yeast infection? (Itching, burning, discharge)

Best answer:

Answer by mlgable
The itching would be severe and the discharge would be a clumpy cottage cheesy type discharge, You obviously have an infection of some kind but without running tests there is no way to know what it is. Go to urgent care or a walk in clinic and get it checked out. It could be spreading since you mention abdominal pain at times.

Are Essential Oils Effective Candida Treatment?

Although candida treatment for men is typically the same as it is for women, it’s imperative that candida sufferers know there are other remedies for infections aside from topical creams. For instance, there are essential oils that can be used to effectively treat different forms of candida infections.

Essential oil is created from natural substances (typically plants and flowers). Essential oils have been used for centuries for perfume, aromatherapy, and for their healing properties. Essential oils are available at local health and nutrition stores; however, you will find that there are many to choose from, and not all are considered effective for treating candida.

The following are the essential oils used as effective candida treatment –

Tea Tree Oil – This essential oil is comprised of antiviral, antibiotic and antifungal properties. It is primarily for external use, and is applied as a topical ointment for small wounds. It is considered effective treatment for a number of candida infections including athlete’s foot, acne, and other fungal infections present on the skin.

Tea tree oil is considered a safe candida treatment for most people. However, although rare, skin irritation or rash may occur. Furthermore, tea tree oil is not recommended for pregnant women.

Eucalyptus – This essential oil provides excellent support to the immune system, and can kill most staphylococcus bacteria, which is a bacterium that can combine with candida to create infections such as eczema. Eucaplytus provides the body with a cooling effect. It can be used topically to treat candida infections and is sometimes used in small amounts for oral supplements.

Eucalyptus is considered a safe external treatment. However, it can be extremely toxic if ingested. This is why only a small amount of eucalyptus is found in supplements. You should never ingest eucalyptus without first seeking the advice of a health care provider.

Rose Geranium oil- This oil has an antibacterial effect that has proven to be exceptionally effective as a candida treatment because of its ester content. It is an exceptional skin care product that promotes hygiene, and can be used topically as an antiseptic for fungal infections such as athlete’s foot. What makes rose geranium oil so unique is geranium can eliminate yeast without affecting natural bacterial flora. When ingested, geranium also helps stimulate liver and pancreas function, and can also sooth symptoms of breast pain in women during menses when applied topically.

This essential oil is considered safe to use and may only cause minor side effects such as skin irritation for those with sensitive skin. However, geranium oil is not recommended for pregnant women as it is known to balance the hormonal system.

Oregano Oil – This oil is recognized for its aggressive antifungal properties and can effectively take care of stubborn candida fungal infections such as athlete’s foot, nail fungus and fungal infections of the scalp. Oregano oil can be used both internally and externally as a candida treatment.

Oregano oil also as anti-inflammatory properties and can effectively relieve pain when applied topically, as it penetrates deep into damaged skin to provide relief. This oil is considered safe and side effects are extremely rare. Oreagano oil can cause a skin irritation or rash when applied topically in those who are allergic or have sensitive skin.

Two other essential oils that are recognized for their antifungal properties and may be effective at treating candida include patchouli and myrrh.

Before taking essential oils to treat candida infections, you should consult your health care provider to make sure the oils you are considering are safe for you to take. This is especially true if you are pregnant or have any current or pre-existing health problems. In addition, you should follow all directions on products, and speak to a professional herbalist to find out what the best methods for applying and ingesting these oils are for candida treatment.

Candida, Yeast Infections and Coconut Oil

Article by Jessica Dale

First let me shed some light on a yeast infection. The cause of all yeast infections is actually from an overgrowth of a fungus called Candida Albicans which causes Candidiasis. Since Candidiasis or Candida for short, causes a yeast infection, this means a yeast infection is a symptom of Candida. So to cure your yeast infection you must treat your Candida. Both men and women can get yeast infections or Candida. The fungus Candida is normally not a problem, but when factors such as stress, a poor diet, antibiotics, and environmental factors disrupt the balance in your body, Candida can develop.

Coconut Oil is an Effective Antifungal Agent

In the 2007 Journal of Medicinal Food, it was found that coconut oil is an effective antifungal agent in the treatment of yeast overgrowth. Did you know that when you take antibiotics that normal, healthy bacteria as well as harmful bacteria is destroyed? Candida or yeast infections are not affected by the antibiotics and actually thrive better since healthy bacteria has been destroyed. The yeast infection imbalance then compromises the immune system and overall health. Thus the researchers conclude that coconut oil should be used in the treatment of fungal infections, which includes Candidiasis.

Coconut Oil & Caprylic Acid

Also coconut oil contains caprylic acid which has substantial antifungal properties. Caprylic acid works to eliminate intestinal Candida overgrowth along the length of the intestinal tract if it’s absorbed slowly. Contrary to popular belief, coconut oil is actually very good for you and I have been consuming it on a daily basis for years. Using coconut oil to cook with instead of other household oils will help you on your way to an anti-Candida future. I add it in shakes as well.

Since the majority of the population have an overgrowth of Candida and don’t even know it, I highly recommend you take the free survey and pass it on to your friends. Good luck.

This also helps the Candida to be banished for good.

Candida usually takes hold when a number of conditions are suitable at the same time.Such as
